Zanjan is a city in Persia. Zanjan means dear wife. These rugs tend to have a higher KPSI then your average rug, which makes Zangan rugs very desirable. Colors tend to be reds, browns and blues with geometric and tribal designs. The wool and the colors used are similar to that used in Hamadan rugs.
This is a genuine hand knotted cut pile rug, not tufted, hooked, or machine made. All we do is hand knotted.
Please Note: Due to packaging, the texture of the rug will be pressed. This is not a defect and should be unnoticeable after several days.
